Merline Labissiere is an interdisciplinary designer whose work seamlessly blends animation, fashion, architecture, and digital innovation. Through 3D fashion design, couture collections, and animated storytelling, she creates immersive visual experiences that bridge art, technology, and design.
Her creative journey began with the study of Architecture at Miami Dade College, where she earned an Associate of Arts degree. She later received a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Fashion Design from the Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD) and a Master of Arts in Animation from the Academy of Art University. This multidisciplinary education has shaped her distinctive design philosophy—one that combines structural thinking, artistic expression, and technical precision to create work that is both imaginative and purposeful.
With more than 22 years of creative experience, Merline has developed projects across fashion, animation, branding, visual development, and digital design. Each project reflects her passion for storytelling and her belief that great design has the power to inspire, communicate, and transform ideas into meaningful experiences.
Merline gained national recognition as a Top 6 finalist on Project Runway Season 14. Her work is recognized for its sculptural silhouettes, intricate details, rich textures, and cinematic storytelling—qualities that reflect the influence of both architecture and animation in her creative process.
Beyond her professional work, Merline is dedicated to inspiring the next generation of artists and designers. Through education, mentorship, community engagement, and public speaking, she encourages young creatives to dream boldly, embrace interdisciplinary thinking, and use design as a powerful tool for innovation, identity, and positive change.
Merline created this 3D cover, the pattern maker layout in the journal and this process journal book offers a glimpse into her creative world—a collection of ideas, explorations, and designs that celebrate the limitless possibilities found at the intersection of fashion, animation, and architecture.
